Author Guidelines for Book Publication

 

From Idea to Impact  With the Support of USWR Press

USWR Press welcomes original, translated, and culturally adapted books in the fields of social health, rehabilitation sciences, and mental wellbeing This guide provides a clear, step‑by‑step overview of the publication pathway—from preparing your manuscript to final approval and printing.

 

 

Before You Begin: Essential Policies and Regulations

All authors and translators must review the following official documents before preparing or submitting their work:

These documents ensure that your work aligns with the University’s academic, ethical, and technical requirements.

 

 

Step 1 - Prepare Your Manuscript According to the Book Preparation Guidelines

All manuscripts—authored, or translated,  must be prepared exactly according to the Book Preparation Guidelines, including:

  • Structure (preface, introduction, chapters, objectives, references, glossary, index)
  • Formatting, typography, and layout
  • Citation style (APA or Harvard, consistently applied)
  • Requirements for figures, tables, permissions, and source attribution
  • Rules for Persian writing, terminology, and footnotes

Failure to follow these standards will delay the review and publication process.

 

Step 2  - Complete the Required Proposal Form

Depending on the type of your book, complete one of the following:

Step 3 - Submit Your Proposal and Draft Manuscript in the Pajouhan System

All authors must upload:

  • The completed proposal form
  • The full draft of the book (prepared according to the guidelines)

Submission is done exclusively through the University’s official platform:

Once submitted, your work enters the formal evaluation workflow.

 

 

Step 4 - Scientific and Editorial Evaluation

Your book will undergo:

  1. Initial screening by the Publications Office
  2. Scientific review by expert reviewers
  3. Content and structural evaluation based on the Book Preparation Guidelines
  4. Ethical and originality checks, including AI‑use compliance

Step 5 - Production Phase

Your book enters professional production:

  • Cover design
  • Typesetting and layout
  • Editing and proofreading
  • Final author approval of proofs

 

Step 6 - Licensing and Approvals

After scientific approval, USWR Press obtains:

  • ISBN
  • FIPA registration
  • Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance approval

These steps are handled by the Publications Office.

 

Step 7  - Printing and Publication

After final approval:

  • The book is printed
  • Copies are distributed according to University policy
  • The title is added to the USWR Press website
  • Authors receive their complimentary copies

 

 

⚖️ Ethical and Legal Responsibilities

USWR Press adheres to COPE standards. Authors must:

  • Submit original, unpublished work
  • Provide accurate citations and permissions
  • Disclose any use of AI tools (as required by the AI Regulation)
  • Avoid simultaneous submission to other publishers
  • Ensure all third‑party materials have written permission
