Strengthening the provision of rehabilitation services and ensuring financial resources are fundamental to guaranteeing their accessibility and affordability for all individuals in need. This booklet seeks to provide evidence-based recommendations, expert opinions, and descriptions of appropriate practices to support health systems and their stakeholders in enhancing and expanding high-quality rehabilitation services, thereby enabling better responses to community needs. The target audience of these recommendations includes government managers, health policymakers, and institutions involved in workforce training. In addition, the recommendations and descriptions of appropriate practices can be useful for rehabilitation researchers, service providers, producers of assistive devices, and accountants (including professional organizations, academic institutions, civil society, and national and international NGOs). These recommendations are aligned with the standards and methods outlined in the World Health Organization’s handbook for guideline development.
