- This detailed guidebook of the Persian Verb and Sentence Treatment Protocol (PVSP) has been developed to improve verb retrieval skills at the word and sentence level, enhance sentence construction abilities, and strengthen lexical retrieval in sentence contexts for individuals with aphasia who have at least basic literacy. The protocol provides step-by-step assistance using images and visual-spatial cues to gradually achieve verb retrieval, word use in sentences, and connected speech. Components of the protocol include a picture booklet, the guidebook itself, verb cue cards, infinitive verb cards, semantic role teaching strips, and written role cards with examples. The PVSP is flexible, allowing therapists to adapt stages according to the patient’s level and needs, and supports creative sentence building beyond the initial set of verbs.
