- This guide presents the process of rapid assessment of high risk behaviors and the development of appropriate interventions for street children in Tehran. It explains how rapid assessment and response (RAR) can be adapted to local contexts and used as a practical framework for prevention and control of HIV among vulnerable children. The guide aims to: • build awareness and understanding of the RAR approach, • provide a set of procedures for planning, consultation, and assessment, • introduce practical field tools and methods, and • present a real world example of implementing RAR among street children in Tehran.
