- The present book is a comprehensive collection of the anatomical and physiological foundations of the peripheral and central vestibular system, the central connections of the vestibular system with other regions of the central nervous system, and the phenomenon of compensation following unilateral and bilateral vestibular damage. This book reviews the principles and methods of evaluating the peripheral and central vestibular system as well as vestibular rehabilitation. Today, the relationship between the vestibular system and cognitive and psychological phenomena is widely recognized, and this topic is also discussed in the book.
